Sustainability
At Naturipe Farms, sustainability isn’t just a goal — it’s a daily commitment.

Since 2019, Naturipe has reduced C02 emissions by:
57,328mt
PLASTIC PACKAGING REDUCTIONS
61,074mt
ENERGY REDUCTIONS
19,624mt
WASTE REDUCTIONS
Across every aspect of our operations, we’re dedicated to practices that benefit the environment, support our growers, and positively impact the communities we serve. From reducing greenhouse gas emissions to protecting pollinators, here’s just a few ways we’re making a difference:
GHG Reductions (Waste, Plastic & Energy)
At Naturipe Farms, we’re committed to reducing our environmental footprint by actively cutting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across our operations. Since 2019, we’ve removed nearly 140,000 metric tons of CO2, equivalent to taking over 30,000 cars off the road for a year. This achievement reflects significant strides in waste reduction, the use of sustainable and recyclable packaging materials, and adopting renewable energy sources. Moving forward, we aim to further integrate clean energy systems and circular waste solutions into all aspects of our operations.
Water Conservation
For over 40 years, Naturipe Farms has been a leader in efficient water management, recognizing the critical importance of conserving this finite resource. Our growers implement drip irrigation systems to deliver water directly to plant roots, significantly reducing waste. Techniques like underground water shingling allow us to capture and reuse water efficiently. Modern metering systems monitor usage in real-time, helping us optimize irrigation and conserve millions of gallons annually while maintaining healthy, productive crops.
Sustainable Farming
A significant portion of our farms have earned certifications from internationally recognized organizations like LEAF Marque and Sustainable Food Group. LEAF Marque, a trusted environmental assurance system, certifies farms for reducing environmental impacts while producing high-quality food. Sustainable Food Group programs focus on implementing innovative practices to advance agricultural sustainability. These certifications reflect the dedication of our growers to preserving natural resources, minimizing environmental harm, and creating a resilient food system.
Regenerative Agriculture
Naturipe Farms integrates regenerative agriculture across its growing operations, a method designed to improve soil health, enhance biodiversity, and combat climate change. These practices include cover cropping, reduced tillage, and composting, all of which enrich the soil while maintaining its long-term fertility. Our growers aim to restore ecosystems rather than deplete them, ensuring future generations can thrive. We’re especially proud of our organic growers who have gone the extra mile to achieve regenerative certifications, setting a standard for farming in harmony with nature.
Pollinator Habitats
Pollinators such as bees and butterflies are essential for the success of many of our crops. Naturipe growers actively promote pollinator health by dedicating over 1,000 acres to permanent habitats globally. These habitats are rich in flowering plants, shrubs, and trees that provide food and nesting areas. Additionally, growers follow best practices to minimize the use of chemicals harmful to pollinators. By 2025, we’re on track to have all our farms certified as pollinator safe, reinforcing our commitment to environmental stewardship.
Organic Certified
Naturipe Farms proudly stands as the world’s largest organic blueberry grower. Our organic operations extend beyond blueberries to include strawberries, raspberries, cranberries, and avocados, all grown with sustainable and ecofriendly methods. Organic farming not only preserves soil health and biodiversity but also provides consumers with products free from synthetic chemicals. Our continued leadership in organic farming is a testament to our commitment to producing healthy, sustainable food for a growing population.
Investing in People & Community
Through our Charitable Giving Fund, Naturipe Farms supports the children of migrant farmworkers in growing regions across North and South America. This initiative has funded the construction of education and recreation centers, provided access to dental care, and established wireless internet in underserved areas. By improving opportunities for these communities, we strive to uplift the lives of those who are integral to our success. We view this as a direct investment in the future of agriculture and the people who make it possible.
Profit & Grower Livelihood
At Naturipe Farms, sustaining our growers is at the heart of our mission. These family farms are our greatest allies in sustainability, balancing the production of nutritious, delicious berries with responsible land stewardship. By prioritizing their profitability and well-being, we ensure the long-term viability of the local and global food systems. Their success is essential—not only for Naturipe Farms but for the communities and ecosystems that depend on them.
